The book,   shares   the lives of people who helped shaped  the  spiritual, social, political and  economic   lives and horizon in   our  country.  It  reached out to  other  countries. It shared, too, some  voices and dreams of those who have fallen in the struggle against the forces of oppression and injustices.

I would like to quote, again   the words of Dr. Edwin Lester Ruiz, Professor of Theology at New York Theological Seminary which he shared in our book, printed in  our 4^th  book in 2007, entitled, “PERSONALITIES IN OUR TIME: From Asia and Europe” authored by Rev. Olof Lindstrom and Pastor Rudy Bernal.  Dr. Edwin Lester Ruiz said;

“The writing of these book is timely  and a much needed project.

“For so long,  we have only heard the voices of those who have the power and the privilege to speak. Many times, these voices do not reflect our own hearts and minds. It is time that you speak…and speak with truth and power!

“We have often been told that history is written only by the powerful. Indeed, both the written and spoken words have often,  by their existence and insistence, subjugated  others and beaten them into the culture of silence.

“No more in this case. Your volumes no matter how small, challenges the conventional wisdom…”

Hopefully,  the book  will contribute a little   from the underside of history. A historical  biography  witten by  a  weak and   poor  to the weaks and poors of our country. For the are growing united,  and continue to  participate   strongly in the efforts  to transform our weakness into strength and power. The Filipinos have grown.  Be part of the story for change!
